Le CNRS s’associe avec Inria, l’Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur, l’Observatoire de Paris-PSL et Eviden pour soutenir la contribution française à l’observatoire SKAO autour d’un nouveau laboratoire commun ECLAT, nouveau centre d’excellence sur les technologies et techniques du calcul haute performance et de l’intelligence artificielle au service de l’instrumentation astronomique.
Le PEPR Numérique pour l’Exascale (NUMPEX) a pour objectif de concevoir et développer les briques logicielles qui équiperont les futures machines exascales et de préparer les grands domaines applicatifs à exploiter pleinement les capacités de ces machines. Grands domaines applicatifs qui relèvent aussi bien de la recherche scientifique que du secteur industriel.
