ean-Pierre Hubaux, EPFL, Lausanne Designing Network Security and Privacy Mechanisms: How Game Theory Can Help. Over the last decades, connectivity, bandwidth and quality of service of wired and wireless networks have improved at an astounding pace. Unfortunately, this progress has been plagued by growing problems on the fronts of privacy and security. In this talk, we will show how game theory is being used by researchers to model the (non-)cooperation of different players in their contribution to privacy and security mechanisms.
