Welcome to my personal page!
I am Panagiotis Mavridis, PhD student in University of Rennes 1 under the supervision of David Gross-Amblard (head of Team DRUID) and Zoltan Miklos. On my PhD subject entitled “Declarative User and Task Management in Crowdsourcing Applications” I work on data management topics related to Crowdsourcing.
Apart from that, I am a member PhD student of the DTC (Doctoral Training Center) EIT Digital Rennes. My work is supported from a grant of the French Ministry of Education. EIT Digital also supports me with an extra grant to develop an entrepreneurial and technology transfer skill-set.
Before my PhD I attended Telecom Bretagne (Brest, France) as a Master Research Student where I studied Human Centered Computer Science. I wrote my master thesis under the supervision of Elisabetta Bevacqua and Pierre De Loor as an intern of ENIB (National Engineering School of Brest, France) working in CERV (European Center for Virtual Reality in Brest, France). The subject I worked on permitted me to create a new model of Attention for a Virtual Agent capable of interacting with a User through gestures and body movements which was part of the ANR project named “INGREDIBLE”.
Before my Master I finished the ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) curriculum of NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) with a main focus on Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
